So...
What's my story?
A burnout forced me to pause — I spent
over a year on the couch, physically
and emotionally drained. (...) On the day
I stepped in the office again to start
my reintegration rejactory a very clear question popped up in my mind:
If everything is possible, is this the life
I want?
More than ten years ago, I began my career at the iconic Dutch television program Man bijt Hond. Looking back, it truly was my dream job as I am - since I was a little girl - so curious about the world around me. My role was - as a researcher - to connect with authentic people, understand their lives and motivations, unravel their stories, and share them with our audience. It taught me the beauty and power of storytelling in its most honest form.
After several years in the television world, I felt a desire to do something more meaningful. That led me to a new path as an Impact PR Advisor at Blyde (a certified B Corp), a sustainable PR agency in Amsterdam. There, I helped purpose-driven brands craft their narratives and connect with the public, the media and journalists in a way that resonated with their values and story.
But after four intense years of hard work, I hit a wall. A burnout forced me to pause — I spent over a year on the couch, physically and emotionally drained. During that time, I made a promise to myself: to figure out what truly makes me happy and what a fulfilling, balanced happy life looks like. On the day I stepped in the office again to start my reintegration rejactory a very clear question popped up in my mind: If everything is possible, is this the life I want? Every part of my body said no. So, I listened - and I quit my job the week after.
